An obituary for my dog

Sophie Marie Sopety McSopeSope Gerardy (Thanksgivingish 2012 – June 23, 2023)

Sophie crossed the rainbow bridge to meet with her brothers and sisters after a lengthy battle with ouchy legs, yucky tummy, and icky kidneys.  Sophie was born around Thanksgiving time in Columbus, Ohio to a Great Dane mama who had casual relations with a Black Lab.  With that blend of genetics, she was a big, curvy girl with a love for life and playing. Sophie lived with her single mom and two sisters for four months before finding her forever home. She was a rambunctious puppy who showed an early interest in poop cuisine, her own and others.  She was truly a poommelier.  Sophie also enjoyed a variety of human foods and enjoyed going out to lunch with her humans.  Sophie’s last meal was a Burger King hamburger fed to her by her Boy.

Sophie is survived by her Momma, Daddy, The Boy, The Girl, Sisser Kira, Brudder Heinz, and many, many friends.  Sophie never met a stranger, especially if they were holding food.  She is predeceased by her sisters Little White Lola and Scaredy Kitty, and brothers Mean Kitty and Orange Kitty.  In honor of her passing, Sophie would like everyone to adopt dogs, especially large ones, from rescues.  Making more baby dogs when there are so many homeless dogs never made sense to Sophie.
